REMS IMAGING
See More Than a Traditional Bone Density Scan.
Advanced REMS imaging gives you a more complete view of your bone health — without ionizing radiation.
What Is REMS?
REMS — Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry — is an advanced bone imaging technology that evaluates both bone density and bone quality. Unlike traditional DEXA scans, REMS uses no ionizing radiation, making it safer for repeated use over time.
And while a DEXA scan gives you a number (T-score) based on density alone, REMS adds important insight into the underlying structure of the bone — which influences fracture risk.
REMS vs. DEXA: What’s the Difference?
REMS
No ionizing radiation
Evaluates bone density AND bone quality
Safe for repeated use
Insight into fragility / fracture risk
Suitable for proactive screening at any age
Traditional DEXA
Uses ionizing radiation
Measures density only
Recommended only periodically
T-score based on density alone
Who It's For
Anyone wanting a comprehensive bone health baseline
Adults monitoring progress over time
Women approaching, in, or past menopause
Anyone with a family history of osteoporosis
Adults concerned about fracture risk
Active aging adults wanting to be proactive
OPEN TO EVERYONE
You don't need to be an OsteoStrong member to book a REMS scan. Many people start with a scan to better understand their baseline, then decide how to move forward.
